Location of the facilities

 

The caring facilities, as well as the headquarters of the Fundació IMOR (Institut Mèdic d´Onco-Radioteràpia), are located at the following address Escoles Píes nº 81 (Corner of Pau-Alcover). The building has an extension of 700m², on four floors.

The specialized and open nature of the center, featuring the most modern technical equipment, as well as the location in an area which is very near to the main medical centers and respected clinics of Barcelona, makes it a reference point for the treatment by Radiation therapy.

Advanced Technology

External Radiation therapy

The Fundació IMOR has introduced in its facilities the latest technological advances in External Radiation therapy:

  • Lineal Accelerator Varian® 2100 C latest generation with multilayer collimator.

  • Oldelft®. Treatment Simulator

  • 3D Plato® Treatment Planner and dosage system, which enables virtual simulations and inverse planning.


  

  Brachytherapy (Internal Radiotherapy)

The Fundació has at its disposal various techniques in brachytherapy:

  • HDR (high dosage rate) for breast pathologies, gynecological tumors, skin treatment, endobronchials, etc.

  • Ophthalmic Brachytherapy.

  • Endovascular Brachytherapy.

  • Permanent Implants (prostate).
The treatment is carried out with 3D Plato® and Prostaseed® dosage control systems.
